West Branch State Park Professional Review and Guide
"This is a huge chunk of country. The lake is nearly 2,700 acres, while the land around it takes in almost 5,400 acres of woods and fields. There’s correspondingly a lot to do. The lake is open to boats with unlimited horsepower, so there are opportunities to ski and tube as well as fish and swim. There’s a marina, accessible piers and beaches with changing stations to accommodate all of those activities. Mountain bikers love the park as much as anyone. That’s because it has 12 miles of biking trails. Most started out as snowmobile trails, and they still get used for that purpose in winter. But in the warmer months there are single- and double-track trails for everyone from beginners to advanced, adventurous riders. Some of the trails are connected and can be done as loops. Maps available from the park allow you to plan out your trip."
