Holden Arboretum

Holden Arboretum Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Cleveland’s East Side has bragging rights for Holden Arboretum, with its wonderful cultivated gardens and rugged forest trails that offer hikers a little bit of everything. And with 15,800 accessioned plants and plant groupings, wildlife, and 3,600 acres— one of the largest arboreta in the United States—there’s plenty for a wandering adventurer to explore on a variety of easy man-made and rugged natural trails.

The trail begins near the entrance to the Display Garden with its hedge, lilac, and viburnum collections. Follow the gravel surface west as it converges with the Highlights Trail. You'll use this as a simple connector to the Pierson Creek Loop Trail. Signs are plenty to guide you along the way."
