Bridle to Ansel’s Cave to Trout Lily Trails, The West Woods Professional Review and Guide
"Seven miles of trails traverse through West Woods’ 902 acres of woodlands and streams. Ansel’s Cave is the highlight of this hike, though it’s more than just an interesting rock formation. Local legend suggests the cave might have served a far greater purpose during the mid-1800s.Open to horseback riders and (obviously) hikers, the trail Tmakes a large loop west before coming back around toward Silver Creek. Along the way you’ll pass junctions for both the Aelder Link and Music Street Trails. Both are out-and-back trails that you’re welcome to take for added mileage, but it would include a decent amount of backtracking that we’re going to avoid. Shortly after the second Silver Creek crossing, you’ll hike north to a four-way junction. To your left is the 0.3-mile Discovery Trail and straight ahead continues the Pioneer."
