Mohican State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Clear Fork of Mohican River, which flows through the park, is one of the finest canoeing rivers in Ohio. What makes it special is the gorge through which it passes. A registered National Natural Landmark, it’s more than 300 feet deep and more than 1,000 feet wide at the top, with exposed sandstone rock walls, towering hemlocks, and stands of ancient white pine to be seen along the way. There’s some outstanding fishing to be had, too. The river is stocked with brown trout. Bass, crappies, bluegills, saugers, and even the occasional musky swim here, too."
