Ross Hollow Loop

Ross Hollow Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is an excellent introductory hike to Tar Hollow State Park and Forest. It is long enough to enjoy the wildflowers, trees, and terrain of this hilly preserve, yet allows extra time to explore the rest of the park amenities as well as make the drive to and from Columbus. You will start out at Ross Hollow Campground and then ascend to Brush Ridge, winding in and out of small valleys that harbor scads of wildflowers.

Reach a high point on Brush Ridge, with a picnic shelter nearby, then curve your way back down the hollow. Work around a hillside so steep you can’t imagine this is Ohio before drifting into the trailhead."
