Lake Loramie State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This is a big 1,650-acre lake with no horsepower limits, but—unlike many waters this size—no waterskiing is permitted. In fact, save for one designated speed zone on the lake’s western end, the whole thing is managed under “no-wake” rules. That makes for some interesting opportunities. You can fish for common species like crappies and bluegills using just about any size boat you want without having to worry about competition from people for whom speed is the thing. Paddlers can also explore the lake’s many, many coves and fingers and check out its water lilies, cattails, and American lotus without being bounced around. Equally interesting are some of the natural features to be seen from land."
