Grand Lake St. Marys State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Grand Lake St. Marys was for a long while known as the largest man-made impoundment in the world. It covers 13,500 acres, having been built originally as a feeder reservoir for the Miami-Erie Canal. The park remains one of the oldest in Ohio’s state system. Visitors can boat—there are no horsepower restrictions on the lake—and fish for a variety of warmwater and coolwater species, from bass to yellow perch."
