Gallia County Fairgrounds Professional Review and Guide
"The fairgrounds host a number of events throughout the year, so you can time a visit to coincide with any one of them. A year-round attraction located nearby is the Bob Evans Farm. Part working farm, part museum, it showcases the beginnings of the Bob Evans Restaurant chain. The 1825 farmhouse that Evans and his wife Jewel raised their children in is still here, today on the National Register of Historic Places given its history as a stagecoach stop. The farm hosts an annual festival each Oct. The county historical society runs a museum dedicated to local life, too. The French Art Colony, a multi-arts center, also draws visitors. And there’s plenty of fishing and hunting to do locally."
