Stage’s Pond State Nature Preserve Professional Review and Guide
"The trails at this out-of-the-way state nature preserve are also less traveled, creating a true wildlife sanctuary. Near the parking lot, you can access a level spur trail to a waterfowl blind. A walk around the perimeter of an old meadow leads to a second blind watching over a kettle lake. A young, brushy forest is popular among birders, and the trail that infiltrates it has a few benches trailside for birdwatching. The preserve is surrounded by agricultural fields, which also attract wildlife. Migrating waterfowl flying over central Ohio often stop here to refuel."
