Tom S. Cooperrider–Kent Bog State Nature Preserve Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Kent Bog is one of a handful of places in Ohio where small cranberries (on the state’s list of threatened plants) make a stand. It is also home to what is probably the largest, southernmost stand of tamarack trees in the continental United States.

Ancient history and modern ecology are both on display here: Visitors can see what’s left of this 12,000-year old bog from a boardwalk made of recycled plastic."
