Downtown Hike Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"See the heart of Northeast Ohio in almost 6 miles worth of urban hiking through Cleveland’s Downtown neighborhood. Statues, public art, and historic buildings line the streets as you pass through Public Square, the East Fourth District, the renowned Playhouse Square Theatre District, Cleveland State University, scenic Voinovich Park, and the Warehouse District, finishing just past Settler’s Landing where founder Moses Cleveland and his crew first set foot in 1796.
Naturally, it’s the start of one of the best hikes in this book. Heading east past the square, you’ll quickly come to the Fountain of Eternal Life, a memorial to Clevelanders who served in World War II. From there you’ll move onward to East 6th Street to connect to Euclid Avenue, Cleveland’s main
street, to reach the heart of Downtown’s entertainment and nightlife—the East Fourth District."
