East Harbor State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This park is located right on Lake Erie, so of course the main attraction is the Great Lake itself. Lake Erie is known as the “walleye capital of the world” and the fishermen who ply the waters—and their catches—are proof of that. You can also ski, tube, cruise, and more on the lake. There’s a marina to cater to everyone’s needs as well as a 1,500-foot swimming beach. What is a little surprising is the other opportunities available. There are eleven hiking trails, the longest about 2.5 miles long, that take you along the beach, through the campground and to bird watching platforms from which you can see all kinds of waterfowl. While here, be sure to visit Marblehead Lighthouse State Park."
