Emerald Necklace Professional Review and Guide

"This ride may well be the jewel combining, as it does, big-city hustle with country quiet. This route is a loop that includes some non-parkway streets.

You'll pass through suburban residential areas and a light industrial area. Don't think of this as a disadvantage, though; after all, it accentuates the fact that just a step away from everyday suburban Cleveland is a polished jewel. Things to see: Cleveland Metroparks, Rocky River, waterfalls, nature preserves."

The bits on the multi-use trail are pretty good... nice scenery decent surface could be annoying if it were overly crowded. A little less than half of it is spent on road, which consists primarily of broken concrete. I feel bad for my bike!

Deer, deer, everywhere deer....it was really a very neat experience. I was disappointed with the Rocky River part of the ride esp. when I tried to stop at a few stop signs and saw other bikers pulled over when a stop sign was missed. I prefer to be on trails where there is less time spent on having to follow rules which in some cases don't make sense(no traffic in the area nor ever does traffic appear in some spots). It takes away from losing yourself in the beauty of the park.
