    Putnam Pond Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Nestled in the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness—with high Adirondack peaks all around—Putnam Pond sports a scenic campground and many hiking trails—some accessible only by water. Because the surrounding wilderness attracts hundreds of hikers all summer long, try to visit in spring or fall; if you must visit in summer, avoid weekends. When we paddled here mid-September, we shared the water with three other canoes. Habitat type: shallow pond with marshy coves"
