Remote and lightly developed, this 166-acre lake is more than it seems. Indeed, it’s only about 1,500 feet wide, but it averages 43 feet deep and drops to a maximum depth of 80 feet in the middle. Its wooded shoreline is steep. Up and down the beach, branches of submerged timber reach out of the waves like phantom limbs. Key species: Lake trout, lake whitefish, northern pike, smallmouth bass, bluegill, rock bass, landlocked Atlantic salmon, and rainbow trout
