Stretching for over 100 miles, this stream grows quickly, from creeksize in the village of Indian River to a respectable river by the time it feeds the Oswegatchie River, 2 miles downstream of Black Lake. Although it has some killer drops, like the ones in the villages of Theresa and Rossie, Indian River is generally a mild-mannered stream. Key species: Brook trout, brown trout, walleye, northern pike, black bass, channel catfish, and black crappie
