Mills-Norrie State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Ogden Mills and Ruth Livingston Mills Memorial State Park borders and shares a campground with Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park. The campground is technically located in Margaret Lewis Norrie, but understandably, its name was shortened to Mills-Norrie. Both parks are on the banks of the Hudson, and this is the state-park campground that’s closest to the river. The Norrie Marina, which consists of a large boat launch and 145 rental slips, serves the campground and makes getting onto the water a snap."

Excellent campground with some VERY spacious and secluded sites. Will def go back. There are sites on the stream, near the pond, away from the water, whatever suits your needs you should be able to find it here. Facilities were in excellent shape, well lit bathrooms and nearly spotless. Row boat rental was a little pricey ($25 for the day), but there is nowhere to go as the pond is really small. Quiet time is 10pm to 7am and all campers honored this rule. I am glad we stayed here.

Nice campground, hot showers a definite plus! Stayed at site 65; all sites seem to have decent privacy and spaciousness is generally good. Fairly quite campground; we were alone in our section for first couple nights, then families joined us on either side and across road. Bear country had me a little nervous at first, but I slept fine after first night. Kind of a downer to have to load most things in car each night, but we got used to it and it made for an easy clean up and departure from campground. All in all, nice experience. I would stay here again.
