Black Creek Preserve Professional Review and Guide
"Shady forest, vernal pools, and a dramatic suspension bridge over a dark, burbling creek—this preserve packs a lot of scenery into its 130 acres. Protected since 1992, Black Creek Preserve offers a network of three trails that follows the tannic acid-dyed Black Creek, wanders among vernal pools (generally visible only in spring and rainy summers), and finally leads to water-level views of the Hudson River. It’s easy to see the entire preserve in a single hike, as the trails provide viewing access to virtually all of its 130 acres."
