Falls on Northwest Bay Brook Professional Review and Guide
"This uphill scramble is oh-so-worth the effort to reach the mossy, spongy, emeraldgreen glen at the top of this needle-covered hill. When you stand at the bottom of this trail-less hill and look up, your first thought may be, “This had better be worth it.” Let me assure you that that this uphill hike over a thick bed of potentially slippery evergreen needles (hemlock, pine, and others) pays off when you finally reach the falls.
Set in a moss-lined glen that’s entirely hidden until you’re nearly upon it, the falls descends over the gorge rim in two long, parallel cascades, separated by a huge ridge of metamorphic rock jutting up through the water. Directly across from the falls, you’ll find a rocky knob covered in soft, spongy moss and woodland ground covers, the perfect place to sit down, catch your breath, and cool your quads while you enjoy this special place."
