Letchworth State Park — West Side 18 falls

Letchworth State Park — West Side (18 falls) Professional Review and Guide

"The Indian name for the Genesee River was Cas-con-sha-gon, meaning “river with falls upon it,” an apt name. In Letchworth State Park alone you’ll find 3 major waterfalls and over 25 smaller cascades."

An easy walking trail for the first two-thirds with a steeper section in the last third. Nicely shaded making it ideal for a hot summer day. Good views of the main gorge and that of Silver Lake Outlet from the "spine". Various birds including hawks visible. An interesting foundation visible on the return loop leading to questions of origin. Easily done in 1.5 hours.
