Panther Mountain and Echo Cliffs

Panther Mountain and Echo Cliffs Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Definitely the shortest trail described in this book, Panther Mountain and Echo Cliffs are not short on scenery. With less than a mile to the scenic lookout, hikers are quickly rewarded with panoramic views of Piseco Lake. The scenic vista, combined with some stunning cliffs beside the trail, makes it an excellent excursion in one short package. Its popularity in the summer attests to its beauty, so plan on going in the off-season or early morning hours to avoid the crowds.

Parking for the Panther Mountain and Echo Cliffs Trail is on the eastern side of County Road 24, just south of the entrance to Little Sand Point Campground. Piseco Lake actually has three campgrounds along its shores."
