Denning Hill Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This hike passes through an area rich in Revolutionary War history. The hills in the area, including Little Fort Hill, all bear names reminiscent of war days. The Old West Point Road once led to Benedict Arnold’s headquarters at Garrison.
In this area on October 9, 1777, the British moved north from Peekskill to battle with the 2,000 Continentals camped at Continental Village, which is still a small town. The high point of the hike, Denning Hill (elevation 900'), offers great views. On clear days, you may even see the skyline of New York City."
