Anthonys Nose Professional Review and Guide

"As part of a day trip from New York City, this short hike will provide one of the best views that can be had of the Hudson River and the surrounding countryside.

Located at the eastern edge of the Bear Mountain Bridge over the Hudson River, Anthonys Nose is the large promontory that defines the horizon looking east from Bear Mountain State Park. Th is deservedly popular hike, suitable for families and kids with a bit of stamina, offers views of the Hudson River Valley to both the north and south that are rivaled by few locations in the region. Getting to the top takes a bit of effort, especially for the first 0.5 mile, but the views attained there are worth every step."
