Bowman Lake State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Bowman Lake State Park advertises itself as a “camper’s paradise”—an exaggerated claim, perhaps, but not entirely inaccurate. It has nearly 200 campsites, including some designated for tents only, to go along with seven new camping cabins. Quaint signposts throughout the park have been constructed from rough-hewn wood and bespeak a commitment to providing a natural experience. Trees are thick, from maples and beech to cherry, pine, and dogwood. And ferns abound on the forest floor. It may not be located in the nearly boundless wilderness of the Adirondacks or Catskills, but it often seems that way."
