Goodnow Mountain

Goodnow Mountain Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A modest hike along a nature trail to a 60-foot fire tower
with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lakes,
and ponds. Named for Sylvester Goodnow, a homesteader who settled
at the base of the mountain in the 1820s, Goodnow Mountain is the only hike in this book that is not maintained by the NYSDEC, though the state built the fire tower on its
summit."

Pretty easy hike with a nice view from the top. Great trail for kids, our 6 and 4 yr. old hiked it without too much whining-:)
