Mount Egbert via the Appalachian Trail

Mount Egbert via the Appalachian Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Sample the AT and pick up a quick summit—and reward yourself with a sweeping Hudson Valley view. It’s meticulously maintained by the New York–New Jersey Trail Conference, including freshly painted white blazes that leave no ambiguity in directing you along the trail.

You’ll move through some rugged, rocky patches and past a quiet pond on your way to a satisfying view of the Hudson River Valley, a great place to stop, rest on a rock, and enjoy your packed lunch. The return trip follows the same trail—just be sure you turn north as you start back, or you may be in for a much longer trek than you planned."
