Letchworth State Park

Letchworth State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"South of Rochester, Letchworth State Park enfolds the 17-mile- long Genesee River Gorge, three major waterfalls, elegant side- creek falls, and 400- to 600-foot- tall sheer sandstone- shale cliffs. Numbered trails explore the developed park of the western rim.

The park’s celebrated Gorge Trail salutes canyon rim and waterfall features. The Mary Jemison Trail opens a chapter of early Seneca Indian history. Centerpiece to the area is the historic Glen Iris Inn."
