It is 2.8 miles long and begins at 2,057 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 5.6 miles with a total elevation gain of 974 feet. Hamilton Point, Kempton Ledge, and another viewpoint and the Hamilton Point (elevation 1,946 feet) cliff can be seen along the trail. Near the end of the trail is a viewpoint.
