Mine Kill State Park Falls

Mine Kill State Park Falls Professional Review and Guide

"Three falls chase one another down the walls of a narrow gorge in the northern foothills of Catskill Park. With so much of Mine Kill State Park focused on views of its neighbor, the Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Plant, it can be easy to miss the park’s gorgeous waterfalls just a quarter mile down the road.

This hike begins with a short walk to a man-made staircase, where several different levels offer you stunning views of Upper Minekill Falls—a natural waterfall harnessed for its power many years ago. You can see the cement structures left over from the dam at the top of the falls, but these remnants don’t detract from the impressive power of the falling cascade you see here."
