"The trip to Tinker Falls is a short, flat stroll beside Tinker Falls Creek. Be especially careful exploring the area around the falls, as the crumbling shale is steep and slippery. Add some difficulty and a scenic vista to your trip by heading to the nearby hang glider launchpad. ough the climb to the launchpad is steep at times, it is certainly worth the effort." Read more

"This sweet retreat lies in Cortland County’s most pleasant and accessible natural area. This short, easy walk is just the thing for a hot summer day, with its wide, well-shaded path and its quick end at a stream that begs you to wade into it. The falls presents itself as a long rain curtain falling from the top of the gorge, churning into foam as it hits a protruding wall and bathing the rock until it reaches a narrow channel. From there it becomes a powerful chute that jettisons into the stream, forming a relatively calm pool before the creek burbles on its way." Read more

"Creel Tributary rushes through a 0.5 mile wide trough with 700-feet high walls on its way to Labrador Creek. Midway it takes a 50-foot free-fall then a 30-foot cascade in its hurry to reach Labrador Hollow. It’s a perfect example of a hanging waterfall. What’s unique about this waterfall is the huge overhanging caprock with a ledge for walking 2/3 of the way up the falls. By climbing the steep bank next to the waterfall you can actually walk behind a curtain of water without feeling the spray even in spring run-off conditions" Read more

This is one of my favorite places to go in the winter after a cold snap. Almost always see ice climbers here! Don't forget to check out the Onondaga Trail.
