Kitchawan Preserve Trail

Kitchawan Preserve Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Formerly owned by the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Kitchawan Preserve offers 200 acres and a relaxing getaway with your best friend in northern Westchester County. Once the site of demonstration gardens, the preserve offers trails along wide forest paths on gently rolling hills through the beauty of mature forests. The park is popular with local dog owners, and it’s highly likely that you’ll meet other hikers exercising their canine companions on your visit."

If you are looking for a trail to hike up with your dog, this is the one. We hiked for about 3-4 hours, and the only hikers we met, were with accompanied by their canines.
Very pleasant walk in the woods.
