West Canada Lakes Wilderness Hike

West Canada Lakes Wilderness Hike Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In Moose River Recreation Area in the west- central Adirondacks, this designated wilderness encompasses one of the last regional wilds to be opened to foot travel and human visitorship.

This overnight outing or demanding all- day hike travels to the core of the West Canada Lakes Wilderness, passing through conifer- hardwood forest and meadow breaks to visit three pristine lakes: Falls Pond, Brooktrout, and West. From the trail, you can access the trans- Adirondack Northville–Placid Trail or visit such other celebrated features as Spruce Lake and Cedar Lakes."
