West Meadow Creek Professional Review and Guide
"Whichever direction you come from when heading toward West Meadow Creek, the fi rst thing you’ll likely notice is the charming beach cottage at its mouth. Known locally as the Gamecock Cottage, this green-and-red building was built in the mid-1800s as an aviary. It originally sat on land much higher and drier than now, almost 0.5 mile away. Since being moved to its current location, the cottage has been used as both a boathouse and a summer rental. Luckily, it has been kept in excellent condition and has become an iconic landmark for all to enjoy."
