Max V. Shaul State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Even though it’s a bit of a drive from the highway, and even though the signs along the way make you think you’re going in circles (are you in Fulton, West Fulton, or Fultonham?), it is certainly a pleasant journey through the Schoharie Valley to Max V. Shaul State Park. If you do make it to the park, you’ll be rewarded with a peaceful, isolated camping experience. This small park sits among the rolling hills of the historic Leather stocking region, just north of the Catskills and about an hour’s drive west of Albany. Although recreational opportunities are limited within its 54 acres, it is a great place to camp and enjoy a little quiet."
