Camp Smith Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Bordering the Hudson River in the northwest corner of Westchester County, Manitou Mountain and the Camp Smith Trail encompass the southern section of the 5494 acres of Hudson Highlands State Park. Extending from Peekskill to Fishkill, the park was founded in 1938 with the acquisition of 177 acres on Breakneck Ridge. Over the years, the park has grown through land purchases and bequests, including the acquisition in 1998 of this 180-acre area bordering Camp Smith Military Reservation."

Very nice trail to take Fido on. Great views of Bear mtn. bridge and of a farm along the Hudson.
