Wellesley Island State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Thousand Islands region is a boater’s haven where you can find excellent fishing and unlimited cruising opportunities. Numerous parks and public launches in the region give access to beautiful waters, but the 2,636-acre Wellesley Island State Park also offers many more recreational opportunities. On the northwest edge of Wellesley Island, the park has miles of hiking trails, a sandy swimming beach, a nature center, a golf course, numerous playgrounds and playfields, several boat launches, a recreation center, and a variety of habitats that provide excellent wildlife-viewing. The island can be reached by boat or by driving over the first section of the multiple-span Thousand Islands Bridge, which from the north side of the island crosses the United States border into Canada."
