Meacham Lake Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"In the far northwest corner of the Adirondacks sits Meacham Lake, one of the most remote campgrounds in the state. In many ways, it is similar to other campgrounds in the mountains, with its calm, clear waters dotted with coveted campsites, and its mix of firs and hardwoods shading the tents, trailers, and RVs that overrun it every summer weekend. What makes Meacham Lake stand out is the presence of a separate, undeveloped area filled with tent-only camping, including two dozen walk-in sites. Known as Meacham Lake West (to be honest, the name reminds us of a new housing development), this isolated mini-campground is perfect for those who want to get away from it all but still have their cars only a short walk away."
