Tinkers Falls

Tinkers Falls Professional Review and Guide

"This sweet retreat lies in Cortland County’s most pleasant and accessible natural area. This short, easy walk is just the thing for a hot summer day, with its wide, well-shaded path and its quick end at a stream that begs you to wade into it.

The falls presents itself as a long rain curtain falling from the top of the gorge, churning into foam as it hits a protruding wall and bathing the rock until it reaches a narrow channel. From there it becomes a powerful chute that jettisons into the stream, forming a relatively calm pool before the creek burbles on its way."
