Mineral Springs Falls

Mineral Springs Falls Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In 1989, when Harvard University determined it was time to end its forty-year relationship with this 3,830-acre forest, an alliance of local colleges, universities, schools, and scientific institutions came together to preserve and maintain the forest as a living laboratory.

The Black Rock Forest Consortium keeps the preserve open to visitors year-round (except during hunting season), while conducting research and education in ecological resource management. The splendid Black Rock Forest forms a lush backdrop for this falls; both get their names from the mineral magnetite."

This is an easy and short hike that's main point is a waterfall at the end. It's best to go in the spring for the best water flow in the falls. The trail is very pretty but since it's so short I'd recommend only if you happen to be in the area and would like a nice walk in nature.
