Taconic State Park

Taconic State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In the southern Taconic Mountain Range, abutting 11 miles of the Massachusetts and Connecticut border, this New York state park blurs state lines. Bash Bish Falls, which annually brings 100,000 visitors to Taconic State Park, actually lies in Massachusetts but is best reached by this park’s trail.

The park’s skyline South Taconic Trail meanders in and out of New York and Massachusetts with an equal disregard of borders. The southbound trek to Brace Mountain, featured here, offers tri- state views. The park’s waterfall trail can put a refreshing exclamation mark on the featured hike, while a mountain trek north can extend exploration."
