Conewango Creek (Clarks Corners to Frewsburg) Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Conewango Creek is a slow, meandering, muddy waterway with many overhanging trees. Initially, the banks are steep and it’s common to see freshly uprooted trees. You may have to portage over downed trees and beaver dams. A highlight is the county-owned island, complete with two lean-to’s south of Frewsburg. River otter have been reintroduced to this stream, so keep an eye out for them."

Entered at Frusburg and went south to the island rest area just before PA. For the most part a lazy paddle with only two areas with fast water. Only negative is the banks are steep and very few areas to stop and take a break.
