Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Purchased in 1975 by Rockland County, the 75 acres of parkland encompassing Buttermilk Falls Park offers the hiking visitor a short but challenging hike with several scenic vistas and a rewarding waterfall. This was a cute hike. It's not hard at all and it takes a very short amount of time. I can honestly say I wanted more. If you're looking to take a faily easy hike with the family this would be a good choice. For experienced hikers or someone looking for a little bit of challenge then this is not the trail for you !
