Only about 4 miles long, this stream averages 6 feet wide. Key species: Rainbow trout, brown trout, and landlocked Atlantic salmon. This is Keuka Lake’s best spawning ground for salmonids. Spring sees runs of rainbows in the 1.5- to 5-pound range. They hit worms and egg sacs. In autumn brown trout up to 15 pounds and landlocked Atlantic salmon ranging from 2 to 5 pounds run the creek and respond to worms and egg-sucking leeches. The minimum length for trout and salmon is 15 inches, and the daily limit is three in any combination.
