Brooklyn North to South Professional Review and Guide
"Greenpoint is the northernmost neighborhood in Brooklyn. It’s bordered by Newtown Creek both north and east, the East River to the west, and Williamsburg to the south.
The neighborhood is home to several historical landmarks, primarily churches and apartment buildings, and is prized for having small town charm in the middle of the city. The area has experienced a recent development boom, raising fears that the largely working-class, multi-generational neighborhood, once defined by its Polish-American community, might lose its character and become the next Williamsburg. A similar fate seems to await Coney Island, on the southern end of Brooklyn."
