Cedar Point Lighthouse Loop Trail

Cedar Point Lighthouse Loop Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Once a busy shipping port for goods arriving from Sag Harbor, Cedar Point and its lighthouse offer an exhilarating beach hike for today’s hiker and canine companion. Constructed in 1838, the lighthouse once stood 200 yards from shore to guide whaling ships into and out of Sag Harbor. In 1938, a strong hurricane shifted the shoreline, creating a narrow, walkable isthmus out into the surrounding bay and lighthouse."
