This multiuse recreational area offers its fields, streams, woods, and lakes for all manner of outdoor activities, from horseback riding to nature photography, as well as excellent fishing for a number of northeastern species including pickerel, bass, and perch. Of the 25 miles of trails that pass through the park, the Long Pond Trail rises to the top of the list, a level but surprisingly challenging hike because of the wide beds of boulders that make for rocky passage along the otherwise easy route.
