    Beckhorn Trail

    Beckhorn Trail is a hiking trail in Essex County, New York. It is within Dix Mountain Wilderness and Adirondack Park. It is 6.1 miles long and begins at 2,046 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 12.5 miles with a total elevation gain of 4,094 feet. The Elk Lake Trail-Register information board and the Elk Lake Parking Area parking are near the trailhead. The Lilian Brook camp site and the Lilian Brook Lean-to shelter can be seen along the trail. The trail ends near Dix Mountain (elevation 4,833 feet). This trail connects with the following: Lillian Brook Trail, Elk Lake to Marcy Trail, Dix Trail, Hunters Pass Trail, Hough Mt. to Dix Mt. and Trail to Macomb Mt..
