Avalanche Pass Trail is a hiking trail in Essex County, New York. It is within High Peaks Wilderness and Adirondack Park. It is 3.5 miles long and begins at 2,779 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 7.1 miles with a total elevation gain of 1,173 feet. The Cedar Point Lean-to, Avalanche Camp Lean-to, Marcy Brook Lean-to, Kagel Shelter, and Kagel Lean-to shelters and Hitch-up Matilda and another viewpoint can be seen along the trail. The trail ends near the Marcy Dam #2 Lean-to shelter, the Marcy Dam Pond (elevation 2,362 feet) wetland, and the Marcy Dam Trail Register information board.
