Generally this trail stays along the creek until you get into the upper basin. Minimal trail maintenance is done at the beginning of the season. Just after entering the canyon, you’ll come to the waterfall that gives the canyon its name. It is small, but when the water is flowing wildly during the spring snowmelt. A lone limber pine grows out of a fissure in a single granite boulder in the sagebrush basin. Robins love the chokecherries in the fall when the fruit is ripe."
