Outer Wetlands Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This ride makes its way through the wetlands in southeast Las Vegas. It is one of the best rides for seeing the many different species of birds, mammals, and reptiles that call this unique area home, making it one of the top family bike rides in Las Vegas.
Clark County Wetlands Park is truly an oasis in the desert. Spend any time in this area, and you just might forget you’re right smack in the middle of one of the hottest deserts in America. If the shoulder-high cattails and marshes don’t clue you in, the ponds and streams should do the trick. A large portion of this trail is the same as the Wetlands Park Trail. However, at a certain point, the Outer Wetlands Trail turns off from the Wetlands Park Trail and winds its way around the perimeter of the wetlands, eventually making its way into the Las Vegas desert. This is an enjoyable trail that is a gradual climb until it reaches the River Mountains Loop. On the way back, the trail offers a pleasing downhill section that allows you the time to take in and thoroughly enjoy the scenery."
